The RAM Team is pleased to have been given our first task under the City of Daytona Beach’s Urban Trails Design Contract in the new Navy Canal Shared-Use Path project. RAM was responsible for providing comprehensive due diligence services to be used in developing the final alignment and preparing plans for the construction of the path. During the conceptual development phase, RAM gathered crucial data to be used in developing a conceptual plan submittal illustrating: survey baseline information, Phase 1 CRA survey, Gopher tortoise and Scrub-Jay habitat assessment, FDOT clear zones, trail alignment, trail typical sections, and, finally, a preliminary cost estimate.
The final design will also incorporate geotechnical boring locations, adjusted path alignment, revised typicals, plan and profile sheets, drainage details, utility adjustments, cross sections, signing and pavement marking, MOT plan, and opinion of probable costs. This project will also require assistance to the City with the implementation of the FDOT Joint Participation Agreement. Once the design phase is complete, RAM design experts may be called upon for as-needed bid phase and professional services during construction (PSDC).
