Ft. George Island Transportation Improvement Project

Ft. George IslandSignificant data collection, master plan preparation, PD&E and 60% design (thus far) for transportation improvements of Ft. George Road and Palmetto Avenue for increased visitor attendance within Ft. George Island State Park while protecting significant existing environmental and historic resources. A new entrance is proposed bringing A1A traffic through Batten Island.

Old Dixie Highway - CR 115

0ld Dixie Highway -CR 115A two-phase project, RAM's original project responsibilities for Old Dixie Highway (CR 115) included design to widen the portion of the project from U.S. 1 to Bypass Road (0.8-mile) from 2-lane rural to 3-lane urban, milling and resurfacing (with cross slope correction) the remainder of the 2-lane rural portion (3.6 miles) to Dyal Road, and design of culvert extensions at two crossings.

Ocean Street Streetscape

Ocean StreetThe project location is on Ocean Street running North and South between Independent Drive and Adams Street with the main portion located between Independent Drive and Bay Street adjacent to the Main Street Bridge off-ramp. The re-design of this area provides for a safer and more aesthetically pleasing pedestrian experience to and from The Jacksonville Landing and Laura Street.

Laura Street Improvement

Laura StreetSoft and hardscape “walkability” design for four blocks in Jacksonville core downtown from Adams Street to W. Independent Drive (between Hemming Plaza and the Jacksonville Landing).  The project includes demolition of existing concrete and paver sidewalk and implementation of new concrete and paving patterns with landscaping to aesthetically enhance and create a sense of destination to Laura Street and downtown Jacksonville.
