The following major projects have been recently awarded to RAM.

San Marco Boulevard (Hendricks Avenue to Riverplace Avenue) – Jacksonville, FL

This project is for the section of San Marco Boulevard which extends approximately 1.4 miles from Hendricks Avenue on the south to Riverplace Avenue on the north, in the San Marco area, and includes streetscape, drainage, and roadway improvements. The existing collector road varies throughout its length from 2 lanes to 5 lanes. The roadway is an urban type section within a variable (60-foot to 100-foot) right-of-way. Work includes Phase 1 development of schematic plans, outlining specifications, and developing cost estimates. Phase 2 will consist of final construction drawings (including design and development phase) and specifications for the facility and cost estimating. Finally, RAM will be prepared, as instructed by the City, to provide contract administration and inspection services for construction of the facility.

C.R. 115 (Old Dixie Highway) - Nassau County, FL

RAM is currently providing final design services for the 4.5 mile segment of C.R. 115 (Old Dixie Highway) from U.S. 1 to Dyal Road. Work included the roadway geometric design using GEOPAK, hydrodynamic modeling (using ICPR 3) for (2) major & (4) minor roadway crossings (culverts), stormwater management system (wet detention pond) and the design of stormwater collection systems. We also prepared roadway plans and profile sheets, signing and pavement marking plans, traffic control plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Permitting applications were also made for SJRWMD Environmental Resource, FDOT driveway and drainage connections , and a CSX railroad crossing.

Hartley Road Reconstruction (BJP) -  Jacksonville, FL

RAM’s second Better Jacksonville Plan assignment, Hartley Road, involves 1.4-mile conversion of a 2-lane rural roadway to a 3-lane urban section and extensive stormwater system improvements.

Griffin Road Reconstruction  - Nassau County, FL

Design and permitting of 4.25-mile rural roadway and bridge replacement project in a quick 10 months.

Timucuan National Preserve Bicycle Touring Route - Jacksonville, FL

RAM has been selected by the City of Jacksonville, in conjunction with the National Park Service, Florida State Park Service, and Florida Department of Transportation, to complete the design and permitting of a new 15.2-mile, 12-foot wide touring route. The project will ultimately link Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park to the new Amelia Island Recreation Area via the Mayport Ferry. The first phase design includes routing through the Big and Little Talbot Islands State Parks and has been designated the Timucuan Trail.

Martin Luther King Parkway Service Roads Milling and Resurfacing, FDOT District 2 - Jacksonville, FL 

Design of improvements to busy FDOT urban roadway system in preparation of Super Bowl XXIX.

Pearl Street Reconstruction/Streetscape - Jacksonville, FL

New streetscape and roadway renovation project for Pearl Street in downtown Jacksonville will serve as the gateway to Historic Springfield and provide a much-needed link between FCCJ’s Downtown Campus and new Advanced Technology Center.

SR 15/US 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) Milling and Resurfacing, FDOT District 2 - Jacksonville, FL

NASA Causeway/"E" Avenue Intersection Design - Kennedy Space Center, FL

Traffic counts, alignment, and coordinated signal design for major intersection on-base at Kennedy Space Center, FL

SR 200/U.S. 301 Milling and Resurfacing, FDOT District 2 - Lawtey to Starke, FL

Rural roadway plans including cross-slope correction, signing and pavement marking plan, and traffic control plan (rural portion).
