The R-A-M Professional Group, Inc. was chartered as a Professional Engineering firm on January 12, 1993 in Jacksonville, Florida. The firm was founded by Wayne C. Reed to meet the needs of clients who must deal with the increasing rigors of infrastructure systems evaluation and design, property review/feasibility analyses, hazardous materials management, and environmental permit compliance.

In September 1995, Frank E. Gray, Jr., P.E., joined the firm as Vice President and Director of Engineering. Mr. Gray became a stockholder of the firm in April 1999.

In June 1999, the firm purchased its new 6,850-square foot headquarters facility located at 8298 Bayberry Road within the southside of Jacksonville, Florida. The building has been carefully designed for its specific purpose as a state-of-the-art fully-networked engineering services design facility.

In 2003, RAM added both electrical engineering and landscape architecture to its professional capabilities.

In March 2003, Marty Child, R.L.A., joined the firm as Vice President/Director of Landscape Architecture to initiate our broad range of landscaping capabilities.
